PEGASUS

While the image of the red flying horse, perched atop the Magnolia Oil building, was the most prominent features of the Dallas skyline for over 30 years, the shinning red light held a meaning for Dallas that went far beyond a corporate identity.

It was an area landmark. Pilots could see it on the horizon from as far away as Waco. You always knew you were headed to Big D when you saw that glowing red light.

It became a source of pride and an enduring symbol for the city, and remains so to this day.

It scared a few

It fueled dreams for many

Maple Park is the story of a few of those dreams.
